Tash + Arie / Raglan Engagement
Just over a year ago Tash and Arie came up to Auckland to hang out for some life style portraits, and most importantly Bedford Soda & Liquor. A year on and the two have shifted their lives out to the quietness of Whatawhata with their boisterous dog Bobby. On the yard stands a quaint old villa that is decorated to perfection by Tash.
Monita and I arrived in the afternoon and were greeted with an afternoon tea. Since the wedding won’t be at Raglan it was only natural that we head out those ways. The weather wasn’t really on our side and it was a bit chilly for a November afternoon, and prepared, we weren’t.
Our first stop was a detour towards Bridal Veil Falls. But we didn’t go to the falls. We jumped some fences and explored the rolling hillside dotted with trees where the sun was playing hide and seek.
We carried onto Raglan and the first stop was the Wharf. And a visit to the wharf isn’t a visit without hitting up the world famous (in New Zealand) Raglan Wharf Fish and Chip Shop. The weather teased us with the sun and we carried on walking around the wharf before making a move for the beach.
The hopes of an epic sunset faded faster than the sun but we made the most of the light in the same place Arie had proposed! The last light was still beautiful even if the chill gave us goose bumps!
A super fun afternoon exploring, laughing and eating, can’t wait for the wedding!
