Dilbir + Sharn / Raglan Engagement

Last year I photographed the colourful three-day affair that was Kulbir and Manpreet’s wedding. During the wedding, Kulbir’s brother Dilbir told me I would be photographing his wedding. There was no talk of when and where, but I said, of course, without hesitation. It didn’t take long and a month later the plans for Dilbir and Sharn's wedding was underway! And that brings us to a sneaky engagement shoot the day before Christmas.

Dilbir wanted to head out to Raglan, and despite the forecast for rain, we took a chance on it anyway. If we waited around for perfect weather in New Zealand, the wedding would be over! I took Dilbir and Sharn to Te Toto Gorge. It was breath taking as usual, and despite the soaking wet grass the weather God’s sent some sun our way. As we made our way to the beach we stopped off at a couple of different spots and hung out with a paddock of sheep. Kiwi as bro.

We made it as far as Whale Bay before the rain had set in, but we pushed on and got the brollys out! After some fish and chips from the wharf (tradition), we made a quick dash up to the north end of the surf (Ngarunui) beach for a possible break in the clouds. We had pushed our luck and there was no sunset. But we’ll be back.
